We know that talking to parents and students about the FAFSA can be a challenge, and we're happy to introduce two new tools specifically designed to simplify your FAFSA education efforts!
Each FAFSA 101 course package includes a PowerPoint presentation with imbedded speaker notes and a handy Presenter's Guide that reflect the most recent updates to the FAFSA.
This course covers the basics of the financial aid application process. It's designed to provide an overview and essential understanding of the purpose and process of completing and submitting the FAFSA. In addition to financial aid administrators, FAFSA Fundamentals is suitable for use by high school counselors and teachers, answering many of the frequently asked questions by students and parents.
This course, which provides a significantly more in-depth look at the federal financial aid process, was developed specifically for use by financial aid professionals. Focus on the FAFSA offers much more detailed information for students and parents, including numerous FAFSA on the Web screenshots and an explanation of the Student Aid Report (SAR) and verification process.
When you're working with middle school or high school students, encourage them to set up an account at OkCollegeStart.org to take advantage of free college planning information and resources. Students can explore colleges and careers, take practice ACT and SAT exams and submit admission applications and transcripts online!
