It’s a common misconception that financial aid isn’t available for adults returning to college or entering college for the first time. Financial assistance is available in many forms, including grants, scholarships, work-study and student loans, and ranges from government aid to industry-specific aid.
The first step to securing federal aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. Forms are available at college or university financial aid offices or online at FAFSA.gov.
Check out the following links to the Oklahoma Guaranteed Student Loan Program Web site for helpful information about types of available aid, contacting campus financial aid offices and key financial aid terms.
